Your Board of Directors often
receives input from individual owners indicating what those owners
feel are the most needed repair or replacement priorities at High
Sierra. It's the duty and desire of the Board to determine the
priorities of the majority of owners, and to allocate resources
accordingly. In an effort to avoid bias from vocal "one-issue owners"
who might sway the direction of a majority (for example, "We think
there should be trampolines in the bathrooms"), your Board of
Directors wishes to hear from MANY owners to define improvement goals.
With new flooring now completed in all 28 units, I and the other
elected members of the Board of Directors who represent all the
membership want to know what projects YOU as owners feel are the most
pressing priorities. The results of this survey will be published
after all responses have been tallied and consolidated. As we approach
the 2008 budget cycle we'll allocate funding using those results. This
is YOUR chance as owners to tell the Board of Directors what you feel
are the five highest priorities in our on-going efforts to make High
Sierra a first-class timeshare resort.
On the reverse of this letter is a listing of projects that the Board
of Directors and other owners have identified as desired improvements
at High Sierra. Each has an estimated cost and some brief background
on why each needs to be done. While we'd love to accomplish all of
these desired improvements immediately, the realities of funding
simply won’t permit that. We're seeking your input on what YOU think
should be done next…so here's your chance to directly influence the
allocation of High Sierra fiscal resources to various projects. Please
identify the FIVE MOST IMPORTANT items on the back of this letter by
placing a number 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 next to the items you feel are the
highest priorities for High Sierra. Number 1 represents the MOST
pressing need from your viewpoint, while number 5 is the LEAST
pressing. Do NOT vote for more than 5; only the first 5 items marked
will be counted. Owners of multiple units may submit as many surveys
as the number of units they own. However, only one vote will be
accepted for each unit owned, so surveys received without a valid name
and/or unit-week indicated at the bottom of the survey will not be
counted. Surveys will be validated against ownership records to
prevent anyone from submitting more surveys than the number of units
they own. Additionally, submitted surveys will be audited against
paid-up fees, and surveys will not be counted from owners with
delinquent fees. To state it simply, "Those who don’t pay have no
say."
The Board of Directors encourages ALL paid-up owners to participate in
this effort to determine what YOU think High Sierra's upgrade
priorities should be for the rest of 2007, 2008, and into 2009. Owners
can submit this survey four different ways: (1) surveys can be
completed on-line by
